PUDUCHERRY : Participating in the prestigious World Travel Mart (WTM) conference in London, Puducherry public works and tourism minister Malladi Krishna Rao held a high-level consultative meeting with tourism industry stakeholders in the United Kingdom.




The discussions centred on comprehensively elevating Puducherry’s tourism sector to international standards, effectively showcasing its unique tourism attractions to foreign travellers, boosting tourist arrivals, and creating innovative tourism opportunities, according to a release.




The discussions also focused on promoting Puducherry's heritage, coastal appeal, and cultural landmarks to attract a larger share of international tourists from Western markets. Rao actively engaged with London-based tourism experts, drawing upon their industry experience and strategic advice to take Puducherry's tourism sector to the next level.




The interactive session laid a strong foundation for future partnerships and cooperative frameworks between local tourism bodies and international travel institutions.
