Actor Swara Bhasker has received praise from a social media user who put aside ideological differences to acknowledge her support for fellow contestants during emotional moments on Rise & Fall 2.

The appreciation came after Swara comforted Sonam Malik as she spoke about her seven-year-old son, an ongoing custody battle and being unable to meet or speak to her child. Swara reposted the user's message, originally shared on X, on her Instagram profile.

The post featured a picture of Swara embracing Sonam and praised the actor for standing by contestants during their emotional breakdowns. It read: “As a right winger, I may have a thousand ideological differences with Swara... But the way she stood with every person during their emotional breakdown deserves appreciation. Keeping ideological differences aside, she is a good human being ”

The user also included the hashtag #RiseAndFallS2. The picture captured one of the show's emotional moments, with Swara consoling Sonam as she spoke about being separated from her son.

What happened between Swara and Sonam?

The exchange took place during the Ticket to Finale task. Sonam was paired with Karan Patel, and they had to choose between Swara and Gautam Gulati for the next round.

Karan chose Swara, noting that she had left her three-year-old daughter behind to participate in the show. He spoke about how difficult it must be for a mother to stay away from her child. Sonam initially supported Gautam, but reconsidered after hearing Karan's argument and eventually agreed to choose Swara.

The decision brought back painful memories for Sonam. After the task, Swara noticed her crying, hugged her and asked whether she had a child. Sonam revealed that she has a seven-year-old son who lives in Haryana. She said she had not been allowed to meet or even speak to him for a year.

“That's the reason I have come here. I will speak about it on the last day. They don't even let me speak to my son,” Sonam told Swara.

Sonam also spoke about her ongoing divorce proceedings and said she had applied for her son's custody. She said she needed to become financially independent before she could secure custody. She further alleged that her husband had threatened her and wanted to remarry.

Swara encouraged Sonam to speak about her experience on the show instead of keeping it to herself. She continued to comfort her as Sonam described the pain of being separated from her child.
