TMC MLA Kunal Ghosh's car was allegedly attacked before Mamata Banerjee's meeting in Shrirampur. Eggs and stones were thrown at his car, due to which the rear glass of the car was broken. After the incident, Mamata Banerjee raised questions on the role of BJP workers and police-administration.

Tezzbuzz Desk- – Political tension increased before Mamata Banerjee's meeting in Shrirampur in Hooghly district of West Bengal. TMC MLA Kunal Ghosh's car was allegedly attacked in Uttarpara area. According to reports, some people surrounded his vehicle, showed black flags and threw eggs and stones. The rear glass of the car was broken in this incident. There is no information about Kunal Ghosh being injured.

Kunal Ghosh alleges that an attempt was made to stop him from reaching Mamata Banerjee's meeting. He said that they cannot be stopped from such action. After the incident, he talked about taking up the matter with the police.

Reacting to the incident, Mamata Banerjee made serious allegations against BJP workers. He said that TMC leaders and workers are being prevented from reaching the meeting venue. Mamta also raised questions on the role of police and administration and asked where is the police when people are being attacked and roads are being blocked.

Mamata Banerjee alleged that BJP workers have blocked the roads and adequate action is not being taken by the police administration. He said that TMC workers and leaders are being attacked and people are being stopped from reaching the meeting. These allegations have been made by Mamata Banerjee.

Mamta said that she had not seen such a situation before. He alleges that he has to repeatedly approach the court to organize political programs and reach out to the people. He questioned that if a political party has to constantly go to court for permission to meet people and organize programs to put forward its point, how will it reach out to the public.

There was already a legal dispute going on regarding the meeting to be held in Shrirampur. Calcutta High Court had given conditional permission for the meeting at Shrirampur Court Ground on 26 September. According to the court order, the meeting was to be held from 4 pm to 6 pm and a maximum of 1,000 people were limited to attend it. Also, permission was not given to take out or disrupt the procession on GT Road. Police were also instructed to make adequate security arrangements to maintain law and order.

Mamta Banerjee said that the court order should be respected and the police should work as per the law. He alleged that despite permission and fixed rules, TMC leaders and workers were facing obstacles in reaching the meeting venue.

Amidst this entire incident, the political atmosphere in Shrirampur has heated up regarding the alleged attack on Kunal Ghosh's car and Mamata Banerjee's allegations. However, a different side has also come forward on the allegations made by BJP and the final situation regarding the incident will be clear only after the police investigation.
