Bhangarh Fort, located amidst the Aravalli hills in Alwar district of Rajasthan, is one of the most famous historical places in the country. In another story there is mention of a princess of the fort and a Tantrik. However, these stories are part of folk belief and cannot be considered as proven historical facts.

The most talked about thing about Bhangarh is why one cannot enter here after sunset. Protected historical monuments are subject to rules to protection and conservation. Therefore, entry is restricted for tourists after the stipulated time.

It would not be right to link it only to ghostly activities. There are also practical reasons behind restricting the movement of tourists to a protected archaeological site after dark, such as security, monument conservation and administrative arrangements.
