Lifestyle Desk: As soon as the rainy season arrives, the weather definitely becomes pleasant, but for many people this season also brings laziness and lethargy. Due to continuous cloud cover, less sunlight and increased humidity in the atmosphere, one does not feel like leaving the bed in the morning. This also affects everyday activities and many people even give up morning walk or exercise. In such a situation, starting the morning with some easy yoga asanas can be a good option.

Yoga helps in stretching the body, keeping the muscles active and maintaining flexibility. There is no need to go to the gym for this. These asanas can be practiced for a few minutes at home. Let us know which yoga asanas to do at this time.

Start the day with Tadasana. Tadasana is considered to be one of the easiest yogasanas. To do this, stand straight and keep both the legs close. Keep the hands along the body and slowly raise the hands upward and stand on the toes. Pull the body upwards and remain in this position for a few seconds. After this return to normal state. It helps in stretching the entire body.

Give stretch to the body with Marjari Asana. Marjari Asana i.e. Cat-Cow Stretch can be done in the morning to activate the body. Come on your hands and knees and bend your spine upwards while inhaling and stretch your back downwards while exhaling. Repeat this process slowly. This provides a light stretch to the spine and the area around the back.

Adho Mukha Svanasana In this asana, the body comes in the shape of an inverted 'V'. Placing your hands and feet on the ground, lift your hips up and keep your legs as straight as is comfortable. Stay in this posture for a few seconds and keep breathing normally. This can help stretch multiple parts of the body simultaneously.

Bhujangasana: Lie down on your stomach and place your palms on the ground near the shoulders. While inhaling, slowly raise the chest, while the lower body remains on the ground. Wait for a few seconds as per your capacity and then come back. This can help stretch the back and abdominal area.

End with Balasana: Balasana can be done at the end of yoga practice. Sitting on your knees, bend the body forward and move the forehead towards the ground. Keep the hands in a relaxed position in front or near the body. Remain in this posture for some time while breathing normally. It is considered useful for relaxing the body.

Do not hurry while doing yoga during rainy days and practice the asanas as per your capacity. In the beginning, even a light routine of 10 to 15 minutes may be sufficient. If you feel pain or discomfort while doing any asana, then stop it.
