After the grand finale, a star-studded night filled with dance, glitz and glamour, filmmaker and Lock Upp host Farah Khan hosted a glittering success party to celebrate the grand success of Lock Upp Season 2.

The celebration saw the presence of almost the entire Lock Upp Season 2 family, including winner Shreya Kalra, Harshad Chopda, Apoorva Mukhija, Yogesh, Shreshtha Iyer, Madhuri Grover and several other contestants. Shreya Kalra’s boyfriend was also present at the celebration, cheering for the winner.

The celebrations continued till the wee hours, and several inside videos and photos have emerged online on social media. While the show saw many celebrities locking horns, abusing and fighting with each other inside the house, they were seen dancing together and enjoying themselves at the success party.

Laila and Akanksha Chamola set the house on fire as they danced their hearts out, while Shivangi and Shreya, who were often seen fighting inside the house, were also spotted grooving together.

However, Yogesh Rawat, Shilpa Shinde, Akanksha Choudhary and Sufi Motiwala were missing from the celebrations.

The party came just a day after Akanksha Chamola broke her silence on the criticism surrounding her divorce announcement from actor Gaurav Khanna, clarifying that the decision had nothing to do with publicity or boosting the ratings of Lock Upp 2. The actress said the legal process had already begun before she entered the reality show and that only the paperwork remains.

Akanksha had revealed on the premiere episode of Lock Upp 2 that she and Gaurav had decided to part ways after nearly a decade of marriage. Her revelation sparked widespread speculation, with many social media users claiming the announcement was timed to generate attention for the reality show.

Responding to the allegations after the show’s finale, Akanksha dismissed the rumours and insisted that her personal life was never used as a publicity tool.

“This isn’t for TRPs. We just have to sign the papers,” she said, adding that the decision to separate had been taken long before she joined the show. She also pointed out that people had made assumptions when she and Gaurav got married, saying that being actors does not mean every personal decision is taken for publicity.

The actress further said that she chose to be honest about her life because Lock Upp 2 encouraged contestants to open up about their personal struggles, and she did not want to hide an important chapter of her journey.

Akanksha’s separation from Gaurav became one of the most talked-about moments of the season. During her stint on the show, she also found herself at the centre of several confrontations, including disagreements with fellow contestants over comments to her marriage.

Gaurav Khanna and Akanksha Chamola got married in November 2016 after dating for several months. While the couple had often shared glimpses of their relationship in public over the years, they have now decided to part ways, with the legal formalities of their divorce yet to be completed, according to Akanksha.
