The Uttar Pradesh government, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has geared up to ensure this year’s Sawan Kanwar Yatra is grand, safe, and completely devout. In this regard, the government has taken a significant decision, under which, on August 9th and 10th, helicopters will shower flowers on Shiva devotees, or Kanwariyas, along the main Kanwar routes in western Uttar Pradesh. The administration has released a detailed and firm program for this grand event, which has surprised and excited everyone.

From Baghpat to Meerut, there will be a rain of flowers in four major districts on the first day.

According to the schedule released, the helicopter will fly directly from Lucknow to Baghpat at around 8 a.m. on August 9th. Afterward, flowers will be showered on the pilgrims from the skies of Baghpat between 10:30 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. The helicopter will then arrive in Saharanpur, where devotees of Lord Shiva will receive a grand floral welcome from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.

In this sequence, this auspicious event of flower showering has been scheduled in Muzaffarnagar from 1:30 to 2:15 pm and in Meerut district from 3:45 to 4:30 pm. It should be noted that the total helicopter flight time on this first day of the journey will be 6 hours and 10 minutes, which is a significant administrative arrangement in itself.

On the second day, there will be a grand welcome in Ghaziabad, Hapur and Bulandshahr.

This grand flower shower will not only stop on the first day, but will also continue on the next day, August 10. On this day, helicopters will take off from Meerut in the morning and will first shower flowers on the pilgrims from the skies of Ghaziabad from 8:30 to 9:15 am.

Following this, devotees of Lord Shiva will be given a grand welcome with flowers in Hapur from 9:45 am to 10:30 am and then in Bulandshahr from 11:15 am to 12 noon. After the completion of all these religious programs, the helicopter will depart Bulandshahr for Lucknow at exactly 12:30 pm. According to information, the total flight duration on this second day is 3 hours and 45 minutes, and if both days are combined, the total flight duration of this entire historic mission will be approximately 9 hours and 55 minutes.

All schools and colleges closed in Ghaziabad till August 12

Keeping in mind the safety of devotees and the huge crowds during the Kanwar Yatra, the district administration has started taking strict measures. In view of this, a big order has been issued to keep all the schools from class 1 to 12 completely closed in Ghaziabad from August 4 to August 12. This decision has been taken to ensure the safety of the students and to maintain the smooth traffic system of the city. However, during this period, except for the pre-scheduled examinations, all other colleges and technical educational institutions will also remain completely closed so that Kanwariyas do not face any inconvenience.
