Patna. The Bihar government has taken a significant step toward encouraging meritorious students from minority communities to pursue education. The Minority Welfare Department has invited online applications from eligible candidates under the Chief Minister Student Incentive Scheme 2026. Interested students can now apply through the e-Kalyan portal and avail the benefits of the scheme.

According to the department, the application process has been started from July 31. The objective of the scheme is to encourage meritorious students to pursue further studies by providing financial assistance so that they can continue their education without financial constraints.

These girl students will get ₹15,000

Under the scheme, minority (Muslim) female students who pass the intermediate examination with first division from the Bihar School Examination Board will receive an incentive of ₹15,000. Similarly, female students who pass the Maulvi examination with first division from the Bihar State Madrasa Education Board will also receive the same amount.

₹10,000 to students who passed the Foukania

Minority students who pass the Fokaania examination with first division from the Madrasa Education Board will receive financial assistance of ₹10,000. The government believes this will provide financial support to students to pursue further studies and increase their enthusiasm for education.

How to apply online for this scheme

To avail the benefits of the scheme, candidates must visit the e-Kalyan portal and log in using their registration number and roll number. They will then complete the application by entering their bank account details, IFSC code, Aadhaar number, and other required information.

Important conditions to bank account for this scheme

The Minority Welfare Department has clarified that the bank account provided in the application must be seeded with Aadhaar and must be in the student’s name. The bank account must be operated at a branch of a nationalized bank, a recognized private bank, or India Post Payments Bank located in Bihar. Once the application is approved, the incentive amount will be transferred directly to the beneficiary’s bank account via DBT/RTGS.
