Former India batter Manoj Tiwari has urged the team to resolve the dressing room issues before the 2027 ODI World Cup, opining that positive vibes among players are equally essential as on-field performance. India's dressing room has been in the spotlight in the recent past, following the squad’s tour to the United Kingdom, as there were speculations about friction within the group, mainly between senior players and the coaching staff.
While VVS Laxman currently serves as the interim head coach of the Indian squad for the Zimbabwe tour, Manoj Tiwari opined that the team management needs to make up with the team if the Men in Blue are to even compete for the World Cup in South Africa.

Tiwari Highlights Dressing-Room Concerns
Tiwari Mentions Dressing Room Problems: Manoj Tiwari opined that, in his belief, there are clear fissures in the Indian camp and emphasised that they must address it before the mega-event, reiterating that the team combination too must be set.
Manoj Tiwari said via a PTI video:
"I see a lot of differences in the dressing room which need to be sorted out before the World Cup. And the playing XI, the combination needs to be bang on if you want to do well in the 2027 World Cup in South Africa. Because a lot of stories are coming out that the two, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, obviously we have seen having a chat with the head coach."
The former India opener also alluded to various reports hinting that Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir were on different pages.
He added :
"But with Virat’s thing, we have not seen many videos as such. And the rumours are coming that they are not on talking terms within the team. I think the atmosphere within the team needs to be very good, which is not the case at this moment."
