The process of Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter list is progressing rapidly in Delhi. Booth Level Officers (BLOs) appointed by the Election Commission are going door-to-door and verifying the voters. Meanwhile, political parties have also started helping the voters through their workers, so that the names of eligible voters can be correctly recorded in the voter list.

BJP formed special team from state to booth level

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has formed special teams from the state to the booth level regarding the SIR campaign. In this regard, the progress of the campaign was reviewed in a meeting held under the chairmanship of Delhi BJP President Harsh Malhotra. In the meeting, the workers were instructed to provide necessary information and cooperation to the voters, so that the revision process can be completed smoothly.

BLA-2 is deployed at more than 12 thousand booths

Delhi BJP State General Secretary and SIR process head Yogendra Chandolia said that there are a total of 13,033 polling booths in the capital, out of which BJP’s booth level agents (BLA-2) are registered with the Election Commission in more than 12 thousand booths.

He said that BLA-2 has been playing an active role in the verification, data mapping and list revision of voters at their respective booths for the last several days. Besides, they are also helping in facilitating the process by coordinating with the BLOs appointed by the Election Commission.

The responsibility of coordination and training rests on these leaders.

According to BJP, former MPs Ramesh Bidhuri and Sanket Gupta have been entrusted with the responsibility of coordinating with the Election Commission and training BLA-2. BJP national minister Omprakash Dhankhar, Delhi BJP organization general secretary Pawan Rana, all district presidents, district SIR team members and BLA-2 heads of various districts were present in the meeting. The party says that it is ensuring full cooperation with the Election Commission in the special intensive revision campaign of voter lists.
