New Delhi: There is big news for the students appearing for NEET. Even before the results of Re-NEET are declared, marks 4 of many candidates have been confirmed. On June 21, NEET UG examination was held amidst tight security at more than 5000 centers across the country.
Now NTA has released its provisional answer key. One question from Physics has been dropped in this. This simply means that every student will get 4 marks for that question, whether he has solved it or not.
According to media reports, another question of Physics was also in controversy. Students said that two options for this question are correct. NTA has made it clear that if someone has chosen any of those two options then he will be given full 4 marks. Lakhs of students will benefit from this decision.
NTA has also opened the challenge window along with the answer key. If any student has any objection to any question or answer then he can challenge it. To challenge a question, a fee of Rs 200 will have to be paid. If the challenge is found correct and the question is dropped or the answer is changed, the fee will be refunded. The last date to challenge is tomorrow. There will be no chance after this.
Many students have a question in their mind that what does it mean to drop a question. Actually, when any question is found wrong in a shift, there is a typing error or there is a mistake in translation, then NTA drops it. In such a situation, all the students sitting in that shift are given full marks for that question.
This time NEET UG was held in a single shift. Therefore, more than 20 lakh students will get 4 bonus marks directly for this one question. This is a relief for those students whose paper was difficult or whose score is around the cut-off.
Students are advised to match their OMR sheet and answer key. If you find any discrepancy then definitely challenge by tomorrow. The result will be ready after the final answer key.
