The update comes days after Messi became emotional following Argentina’s World Cup win over Algeria, later revealing he had been dealing with personal difficulties away from football. According to Argentine outlet Paparazzi, Jorge’s condition has improved in recent days, offering some relief to the Messi family after months of concern over his health.

A few hours later, Argentine journalist Eduardo Feinmann shared more details during an interview on Radio Mitre.



“This has to do with his father. His father is not in good health,” Feinmann said. “For quite some time now, several months, since last year. And this week there were some situations that slightly worsened his health, and Messi is going through this internal struggle. In other words, like any human being.”



The Messi family later confirmed that Jorge, 68, was dealing with a health issue but did not provide further medical details.
