Actor Satyadev and filmmaker Venkatesh Maha once teamed up for the film Uma Maheshwara Ugra Roopasya. The film is a remake but this time, they are coming up with a straight film titled Rao Bahadur.

The makers are currently promoting the film aggressively and their confidence in every meeting is clearly visible. Satyadev performed well and everyone is sure that he will get a lot of awards. However, the excitement is getting over board at times.

During the earlier promotional event, when the team launched the teaser, the makers consistently compared their film with the likes of RRR and Baahubali. However, they later clarified their stand but by then, many fans formed an opinion that the comparison is a little too much. Having said that, today, director Venkatesh Maha compared Satyadev to Kamal Haasan, which also sounds a little overconfident.

Venkatesh Maha recollected an old statement of Kamal where he said that he will retire when he find someone from the newer generation. Today, at a promotional event, Venkatesh Maha appealed to Kamal not to retire and stated that Satyadev is someone who can perform to the level of Kamal Haasan.

The makers may have strong confidence in the film, but it is coming across as overconfidence due to these unnecessary statements, especially in the social media era where engagement matters more than intention.

Rao Bahadur surely may have the potential to become a great film in the history of Indian cinema. But, it is also important to let the content speak than hype the film unnecessarily. So far, the songs and the teaser of Rao Bahadur are impressive and create an interest to watch the film further.
