Renault Duster

Renault Duster Strong Hybrid

Renault will announce prices for the strong hybrid variant of the Duster before Diwali. The most attractive thing about the upcoming version is its powertrain that packs a 1.8-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with two electric motors. The setup delivers 158bhp and 172Nm overall, and is backed by a 1.4kWh battery. In terms of styling, the model will retain the same silhouette and features. The SUV is expected to ask around Rs 20 lakh at launch. This is an ex-showroom estimated figure.

Nissan Tekton

Another anticipated launch of the year is the Tekton midsize SUV from Nissan. The car is likely to share its platform with the new Renault Duster. Though the mechanical components will be closely related, Nissan is expected to give the Tekton its own distinct exterior styling, cabin layout, and feature list. The Tekton could become an important volume model for the Japanese brand in India ahead of the festive season. The Nissan SUV could be priced starting at Rs 11 lakh (ex-showroom).
