Footage from the event captured the competitive afternoon snooze as pups of all shapes and sizes, from fluffy white Maltese to adorable Corgis and sprawling Golden Retrievers, curled into tight, furry nests near their owners.

The scene resembled a living tapestry of quiet comfort, with dogs twitching their paws in deep, dreaming slumber while their humans rested under the warm, golden afternoon sun.

“It’s a unique experience, and I think it’s very well organized by Yuhan-Kimberly (a health goods manufacturer). The dogs here seem calm and well-behaved, making it an event everyone can enjoy,” shared participant Lee Min-ji.

As the competition commenced, the initial excitement faded into a tranquil hush beneath the canopy of rustling leaves. Some dogs napped atop their pet parents lying on bean bags, while others snoozed comfortably beside their owners or in strollers.

Participant Choi Hye-jin noted, “You don’t often get the chance to lie down outside and listen to the birds, so I think my dog really enjoyed it too. The weather was fantastic.”

“Thanks to this opportunity, I was able to spend some really valuable time. I didn’t get a deep sleep, but it was still a very enjoyable and meaningful experience,” shared participant Park Me-rim.

To crown the ultimate snooze champions, participants wore AI-powered smart bands that tracked sleep onset and relaxation levels by monitoring heart rates and stress dips. The pup-human team that achieved the deepest, most synchronous state of relaxation won a resort voucher.
