Harington is known for playing the brooding Jon Snow in Game of Thrones. The role proved a breakthrough for the actor. He even met actor Rose Leslie on the set of the series and fell in love with her before getting married to her.

Elsewhere in the conversation with Dinklage, the actor said that playing Snow took so much out of him that he decided not to sign up for any other character for a while post GoT. “The trouble for me with Jon Snow was that I couldn’t, for many years, be lighter,” the actor told Dinklage.

“I needed to get sober. I needed to get my head on straight… So I didn’t see the last season. And then I decided to take a year off work to get sorted. Right as I’m going to reengage with work, COVID hit. So it was this very strange period after the show ended,” Harington added.
