In the ongoing campaign against crime and criminals under the direction of Superintendent of Police Sonbhadra Abhishek Verma and under the supervision of Additional Superintendent of Police (Headquarters) Anil Kumar and Area Officer City Randhir Mishra and under the efficient leadership of Inspector-in-charge Chopan, Chopan police station has achieved significant success. Chopan police station successfully busted the theft incident and arrested two accused and recovered stolen goods from their possession.

Unknown thieves to FIR No. 218/2026 Section 303 (2) BNS, registered at Chopan police station, were being searched. In the same sequence, senior police officer Ghanshyam Tiwari along with us were present in the police force area. On 06.06.2026, on the information of informer, two women were arrested from village Kotha Tola, from whose possession 03 stolen starters and 01 mini transformer were recovered. On the basis of the recovery, the case under section 317(2) of BNS was increased and both the accused were arrested and sent to the court after necessary legal proceedings.

The arrested accused admitted that the recovered goods were stolen. Other necessary legal and investigative proceedings are underway in the case. Details of the arrested accused respectively: Mini Kol, wife of Rajan Singh, age about 40 years, resident of Bhaluwa Tola, police station Obra, district Sonbhadra, Rabia Bibi wife of Istekhar Khan, age about 35 years, resident of Bhaluwa Tola, police station Obra, district Sonbhadra, 03 nos. starter, 01 no. Mini Transformer.

Date, time and place of arrest – On 06.06.2026 at around 07:29 pm, in the police team that arrested/unveiled Village Kotha Tola, Deputy Ghanshyam Tiwari, Police Station Chopan, HE Shivsharan Ram, HE Chhotalal, HE Shailja Singh were included. Sonbhadra Police continues to take effective action against crime and criminals.
