Read, Digital Desk : Actor Ranveer Singh’s film ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ (Dhurandhar 2) has hit the theatres on March 19th. The film has been declared a blockbuster with a global collection of over 1,800 crore. With that Dhurandhar 2 has emerged as the second highest grossing Indian film. The film has now been released on OTT platforms and it is streaming on JioHotstar. Its grand premiere was planned for June 4th but as many were hoping, the film premiered live.

Fans have expressed their disappointment on social media:

Many users are blaming Jio Hotstar on Twitter and are pointing out that the OTT platforms are not meant for live streaming. One said, “You could have just released it like a film and no fuss like live streaming.”

“Which intoxicated idiot had this live streaming of Dhurandhar The Revenge idea at Jio Hotstar, moreover even after live stream is done, movie is not playing! What nonsense!,” said one user.

“Dhurandhar 2 streaming live on hotstar no other OTT has such shame.,” wrote one and another “Dhurandhar 2 streaming live on Jio-Hotstar was a major let down experience, they are forcing us to watch live, if we stop it & re-start it, then it doesn’t work from where we left off. Very irritating.”
