Bihar News: The government of Bihar has decided to take a big and strict legal step to protect the valuable properties of religious trusts, monasteries, temples and shrines across the state. In view of the increasing influence of land mafias and illegal encroachers on the land of religious institutions in different parts of the state, the government is now preparing for major action on a large scale. Under this, a ‘special cell’ will be formed to completely free the encroachment, which will directly monitor the entire process. The government believes that these properties have been in the possession of some influential people for years, and it has become extremely important to remove them. With this step the priceless religious heritage of the state will be protected.
This important decision was taken in a special meeting held under the chairmanship of Revenue and Land Reforms Minister Dr. Dilip Kumar Jaiswal on Friday. In this high-profile meeting, State Law Minister Sanjay Singh Tiger and Chairman of Bihar State Religious Trust Council, Prof. Ranbir Nandan was mainly present. During the meeting, it was discussed in detail to ensure the security of the land of all the religious trusts, monasteries and temples of the state, to speed up the process of removing encroachments and to develop a mechanism to resolve the legal complications to it. With this step of the government, the cases pending for years will now be resolved quickly.
According to the information revealed from the meeting, this special cell will be formed by merging the Revenue and Land Reforms Department, Law Department and Bihar State Religious Trust Council. This cell will closely monitor all the disputed matters to the land of the Religious Trust Council, handle court and legal proceedings and properly carry forward the ground process of removing encroachment. Along with this, a plan has also been approved to prepare a foolproof ‘digital record’ of the properties of all these religious institutions to prevent future encroachments. Once a digital record is created, no one will be able to manipulate it.
Revenue and Land Reforms Minister Dr. Dilip Kumar Jaiswal said in a strict tone that protecting lakhs of acres of valuable land of religious trusts, monasteries, temples and shrines spread across the state is the first priority of the state government. For a long time, the government was continuously receiving complaints of illegal occupation and manipulation of lands of various religious trusts, which is now being taken very seriously. Minister Dr. Jaiswal has given strict instructions to the officials that the orders of the Tribunal of Bihar State Religious Trust Council should be strictly followed and the identified lands should be made encroachment free by running a special campaign. This strict stance of the government has created panic among the illegal encroachers.
With the implementation of this new system, the government’s side will now be presented very strongly in court cases. It is often seen that due to lack of proper advocacy, cases to religious lands remain pending in the court for a long time. The new special cell will investigate each case in detail and submit the report on time. Apart from this, instructions have also been given to the local administration to provide full assistance in this work so that no law and order situation arises while vacating the land. This initiative of the government has sent a good message to the general public and the saints as well.
