After Amul and Mother Dairy, now a Punjab company has also increased the price of milk.


Verka Milk Price Hike: The country's steady rise in petrol, diesel, and gas prices has already been impacting the common man's pockets. Now, the dairy industry has dealt a significant blow. Several major milk companies have increased the price of a liter of milk by ₹2, a significant increase in the burden on the common man's pocket. Punjab-based company Verka has now joined the list.


Verka hikes milk prices.


Following Amul and Mother Dairy, Punjab's cooperative milk company, Verka, has also raised milk prices. Verka has increased the price by ₹2 per liter. These new milk rates will come into effect tomorrow, May 14, 2026. Starting tomorrow morning, milk prices will increase by ₹2 per liter and ₹1 per half liter.


How much will the milk cost?


Starting tomorrow morning, May 14th, a half-liter packet of Verka's full-cream milk will now cost ₹36, not ₹35. The price of a half-liter of standard milk is being raised from ₹32 to ₹33. Other milk categories have also seen increases of ₹1 per half-liter and ₹2 per liter. The company has also revised the prices of larger milk packages. Now, 1.5 liters of full-cream milk will be available for ₹106, while standard milk will cost ₹96.


No change in the smaller pack


However, the prices of the smaller 200 ml and 350 ml packets remain unchanged. The price of the larger 6 liter pack will remain the same. The company has also clarified that the price increase will begin tomorrow morning. While some packets may still display the old prices, the new rates will be applied.
