Lucknow/Kolkata. The grand swearing-in ceremony of the new government of West Bengal was held in Kolkata on Saturday in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was also present on this occasion. He congratulated Suvendu Adhikari who took oath as the Chief Minister and also extended best wishes for his bright tenure.

CM Yogi also made Suvendu Adhikari wear saffron Angavastra on the stage. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also congratulated Dilip Ghosh, Agnimitra Paul, Ashok Kirtania, Kshudiram Tudu, Nishith Pramanik, who took oath as ministers. After the oath taking, West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari met the Prime Minister, Union Ministers and Chief Ministers present on the stage and expressed his gratitude towards everyone.

CM Yogi also posted on social media platform X, Hearty congratulations and best wishes to Suvendu Adhikari on taking oath as the Chief Minister of West Bengal! There is full confidence that under the successful guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and your energetic leadership, the resolution of ‘Sonar Bangla’ will be fulfilled and the state will enter the immortal period of cultural, spiritual and economic upliftment. This is my prayer to Mother Kali that your tenure should become a golden chapter of fulfillment of aspirations of the people of Bengal and restoration of democratic values.

While congratulating other ministers who took oath in Bengal, he also wrote, “Congratulations from the bottom of my heart to all the honorable people who took oath as ministers in West Bengal today! I have full confidence that all of you will restore the glory of ‘Sonar Bangla’ by considering public service as supreme. With the grace of Mother Kali, may your tenure be successful and public-welfare. Vande Mataram!” It is noteworthy that during the election campaign, Suvendu Adhikari had welcomed Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to Bengal by dressing him in a saffron robe in a public meeting. After this his feet were also touched.
