District Magistrate Charchast Gaur conducted a surprise inspection of the drain being constructed to strengthen the drainage system in Robertsganj Municipality area. During the inspection, he took detailed stock of the progress and quality of the construction work and gave necessary directions to the concerned officials.

The District Magistrate, while directing the Project Manager CNDS, said that in any case, the construction work of the drain should be completed before the upcoming rainy season, so that the common people can get relief from the problem of waterlogging during the rains. He stressed on expediting the work as well as paying special attention to quality.

During the inspection, the District Magistrate gave clear instructions that the quality of the material used in the construction work should be checked by a third party, so that transparency and quality of the work can be ensured. He also said that any kind of negligence or ignoring standards in construction work will not be accepted at all.

The District Magistrate, while directing the concerned officers, said that if any lack of quality or negligence is found in the construction work, then strict action will be taken against the concerned. He directed all the officers to ensure that the work is completed on time and as per the prescribed standards. On this occasion, Additional District Magistrate Namami Gange Rohit Yadav, District Economics and Statistics Officer Santpal Verma, Tehsildar Sadar Amit Singh, Project Manager CNDS Ramesh Chandra Maurya and other concerned officers were present.
