In Maharajganj, preparations were underway for the arrival of a new bride when a shocking discovery was made inside the house. The body of the sister-in-law was found hanging, abruptly transforming the atmosphere of celebration into one of mourning. The sudden cries of despair echoed throughout the home. Following a report from the bride's family, the police have taken possession of the body and initiated an investigation.

The incident occurred in Thapapur village, within the jurisdiction of the Brijmanganj police station, on Friday. The wedding procession was headed to Kurrahwa for the marriage of Krishna Mohan Dwivedi, the younger brother of Krishna Gopal Dwivedi. It was reported that Krishna Gopal's wife, Anshu, wished to attend the wedding but was disallowed by her husband. Consequently, she stayed back at home, engaging in music and festivities with relatives.

As family members assumed Anshu was preparing for the celebrations, their concern grew when she did not respond to repeated calls from inside her room. Fearing something was amiss, they broke down the door, only to be met with a horrifying sight.

Anshu was found hanging from the ceiling fan. The incident has left her mother, Kamalawati, in deep distress. Meanwhile, relatives from her maternal side have accused Anshu's husband, brother-in-law, and mother-in-law of harassment and murder, filing a complaint at the police station demanding action.

Tarkeshwar Verma, the officer in charge of the Brijmanganj police station, stated that an investigation is underway based on the complaint filed by Anshu's brother, Krishnachandra Dubey. The cause of death will be determined following the post-mortem report.
