On Monday morning, the Chaurasi Vyapar Mandal Bharmaur held a three-hour market closure to honor the memory of Suraj Thakur, a local trader who had been suffering from a long-term illness and receiving treatment in Chandigarh. He sadly passed away on Sunday morning, and his remains were returned to Bharmaur that same night for cremation on Monday morning.

In a gesture of respect, the entire market in Bharmaur was closed from 9 AM to 11 AM. During this time, Mandal Convener Harisharan Sharma, along with President Mahindra Patial and senior members including Deshraj Sharma, Jaisi Ram Thakur, Tek Chand Thakur, Ranjit Sharma, Azad Jaryal, Kalu Sharma, Sanjay Kapoor, Sumit Thakur, Shata Thakur, Naveen Thakur, Pali Thakur, Tilak Sharma, Abhilash Patial, Pappu Thakur, Vinay Saniyal, Milap Patial, Golu Sharma, and Sanjay Thakur, gathered to pay their respects through floral tributes and prayers.

The trading community expressed profound sadness over the loss, offering prayers for the peace of the departed and strength for the grieving family during this difficult time.
