A severe fire broke out late Monday night in the Vivek Vihar area of Delhi, resulting in a tragic loss of life. Nine individuals were found dead due to severe burns, with their charred bodies recovered from the scene. Fortunately, around 15 others were rescued safely from the building.

Initial investigations suggest that the fire may have been triggered by an explosion in an air conditioning unit. The blaze caused significant damage to six flats within the four-story building.

More than ten fire department vehicles responded promptly to the scene and managed to control the flames. Rescue operations are still ongoing. Local authorities have initiated an investigation into the incident and announced support for the families of the deceased. This tragedy has cast a pall of grief over the community.
