Itanagar, May 3: On Sunday, Pema Khandu, the Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, extended his congratulations to Joram Aniya following her appointment as a full-time member of NITI Aayog. He expressed confidence that her expertise would significantly contribute to national policy development.




In a social media update, Khandu referred to Aniya as a distinguished academic, author, and folklorist, highlighting her groundbreaking work in Hindi literature and her efforts in preserving Nyishi culture.




He emphasized that Aniya's achievement as the first woman from the Nyishi community to obtain a PhD in Hindi exemplifies her commitment to education and societal advancement.




Khandu remarked that Aniya's rich background in education, research, and community involvement would enhance policy-making, especially in promoting indigenous knowledge and fostering inclusive growth.












Khandu described Aniya's new role as a significant achievement for both Arunachal Pradesh and the Northeast region, wishing her success in her endeavors and ongoing contributions to the nation.




Previously, Prime Minister Modi also congratulated Aniya and R. Balasubramaniam on their appointments as full-time members of NITI Aayog.




The Prime Minister noted that their extensive experience and profound understanding of various issues would greatly enhance the policymaking process.




The central government appointed Aniya and Balasubramaniam as full-time members of NITI Aayog on Saturday, increasing the total number of members in this governmental think tank to seven, alongside a vice-chairman.




Aniya, who serves as an associate professor and is a member of the Arunachal Pradesh Private Educational Regulatory Commission, boasts over 18 years of experience in teaching, research, and public policy.




Balasubramaniam, a trained physician and respected public policy expert, is the founder of the Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement and the Grassroots Research and Advocacy Movement.
