Once released, students can check their scores online using their roll number, school number, admit card ID and date of birth. The result will also be available on multiple platforms to ease access as lakhs of students log in at the same time.

Apart from websites, results will also be accessible through DigiLocker, UMANG, along with SMS and IVRS services.

Class 12 CBSE Result Date 2026: Steps to download marksheet

Students can follow these steps once the result link is active:

  • Visit the official website
  • Click on the Class 12 result link
  • Enter roll number, school number and admit card ID
  • Verify the details
  • Submit the form
  • View the result on the screen
  • Download and print the marksheet
  • Provisional marksheet first, original later
The marksheet available online will be provisional. Students will need to collect the original marksheet from their respective schools after the official distribution begins.

CBSE 12th Result 2026: Pass criteria and grace marks

To clear the exam, students must score at least 33 per cent in each subject. The board may also award grace marks to those who fall short by a small margin.

This year, more than 16 lakh students appeared for the Class 12 board exams, making it one of the largest school-level examinations in the country. Along with results, the board is expected to release key data such as overall pass percentage, region-wise performance and other statistics.

CBSE Board Exam Latest Update: Second board exam date announced

The Central Board of Secondary Education has announced the schedule for the second board exams for Class 10 students. The exams will begin on May 15, 2026 and end on May 21, 2026. Most papers will be held from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm, while some will finish earlier at 12:30 pm.

CBSE Class 10 second exam schedule

As per the timetable, Mathematics (Standard) and Mathematics (Basic) will be conducted on the first day. English exams are scheduled for May 16, followed by Science on May 18. Language papers will be held on May 19, all in a single shift.

This is the first time the board is holding exams under a two-board exam system. The system was introduced last year to allow students to improve their scores in up to three subjects.
