Electric vehicles in India have gained significant popularity over the last 4–5 years. We have seen many new entrants in the electric two-wheeler space recently. Some brands are offering value-for-money products, while others are attracting buyers with unique styling and feature-rich offerings.

Just like petrol-powered two-wheelers, many EV buyers are concerned about range. Here is a list of electric two-wheelers currently sold in India that offer some of the longest riding ranges in the affordable segment.

The first on the list is the Ola Roadster X+ electric motorcycle. This bike was launched last year, and at the time, Ola also introduced the X+ variant featuring a massive 9.1 kWh battery pack.

What makes this motorcycle attractive is its combination of price and range. It offers a claimed riding range of 501 km and is priced at Rs 1.29 lakh (ex-showroom). The battery powers an electric motor that generates around 11 kW of power and delivers a top speed of 125 km/h.

Simple Energy recently launched a new electric scooter called the Ultra 400. It stands out mainly because of its large battery pack and impressive range.

The scooter features a dual-battery setup – 5 kWh and 1.5 kWh – which together form a 6.5 kWh battery pack. This allows the Ultra 400 to deliver a claimed riding range of 400 km. It can accelerate from 0–40 km/h in just 2.7 seconds and has a top speed of 115 km/h.

Despite being a scooter, it is priced on the higher side compared to other models from the brand, mainly due to the larger battery. The Simple Ultra 400 is priced at Rs 2.35 lakh (ex-showroom).

Next on the list is the TVS iQube ST scooter with a 5.3 kWh battery pack. This version was introduced last year and replaced the older 5.1 kWh variant.

Ola recently introduced a new variant of its S1 electric scooter lineup- the S1 X+. What makes this version special is its larger battery pack.

While it retains the same design and features as the standard S1, it gets a bigger 5.2 kWh battery pack under the floor. It uses Ola’s Bharat 4680 cells, and the electric motor generates around 11 kW of power.

This setup delivers a claimed riding range of 320 km. Previously, the Ola S1 was available with a 4 kWh battery pack. The new 5.2 kWh variant is priced starting at Rs 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom).
