JSW announced earlier this year its plans to enter the Indian market as an independent car manufacturer. As part of this strategy, the company tied up with Chinese car manufacturer Chery and decided to bring a couple of its models to India under the JSW badge.

The first product that came into the spotlight was the Jetour T2. Following this, we saw a series of models being registered in India for patents. JSW is expected to launch its first product later this year. Along with the Jetour T2, the company is also planning to introduce a few more SUVs. Two of them were recently spotted testing in India.

The images have been shared by Team-BHP on their website. The first car seen in the images is the iCar V23 electric SUV, and the other one is the Jaecoo J5. Both these vehicles were showcased at the Bangkok Motor Show this year.

This is an all-electric SUV, and it is not the first time it has been spotted on Indian roads. The SUV seen here is fully camouflaged, but we already have an idea of what to expect in terms of design and features.

It gets a boxy-looking exterior with design elements that remind us of SUVs like the Jeep Wrangler and the Land Rover Defender. The SUV features round headlamps, pull-type door handles, and premium elements like a large 15.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system and retro-style buttons for climate control.

The cabin has a minimalist design with multiple storage compartments and a spacious layout. Internationally, this electric SUV is available with 59.93 kWh and 81.76 kWh battery pack options, offering a claimed range of around 400–550 km. The smaller battery variant comes with rear-wheel drive (RWD), while the larger one gets all-wheel drive (AWD).

It remains to be seen whether JSW will offer this SUV in India with a dual-motor setup or only a single-motor configuration.

The next car seen in the images is the Jaecoo J5. This is also an electric SUV and is likely to be the second EV from JSW for the Indian market. Like the iCar V23, the Jaecoo J5 has also been spotted testing in India.

It features a Range Rover-inspired exterior design, with sleek projector-based LED headlamps, dual LED DRLs on the top and bottom, and a closed-off grille with Jaecoo lettering in the centre.

From the side, the Jaecoo J5 has a clean and imposing silhouette with a strong shoulder line, resembling Range Rover SUVs. It also comes with 18-inch wheels and sleek LED tail lamps.

On the inside, the Jaecoo J5 offers a premium-looking cabin. It features a 13.2-inch vertical touchscreen, a 10.25-inch digital driver display, ventilated and powered front seats, a panoramic sunroof, multi-zone automatic climate control, Level 2 ADAS, and more.

Internationally, the Jaecoo J5 EV is offered with a front-mounted electric motor that produces 211 PS and 288 Nm of torque. It can accelerate from 0–100 km/h in just 7.7 seconds. The SUV uses a 58.9 kWh battery pack that offers a claimed range of around 402 km.
