The Miami Open continues this weekend after organisers cancelled several matches on Friday at the Masters 1000 event. Wednesday was a washout, and the weather again affected the schedule, with eight matches added to Saturday's order of play.
Aryna Sabalenka was bumped off centre court, with the world No.1's match against American opponent Ann Limoved to the third-largest stage, and she prevailed despite the disruption, coming through a first-set tiebreaker to win 7-6(5) 6-4. Carlos Alcaraz's match against Joao Fonseca is why Sabalenka's was moved, with the Spaniard advancing to round three after winning their first-ever official match in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4.
As for the Brits, organisers cancelled Francesca Jones' match against No. 5 seed Jessica Pegula after rain delays, and it will now take place on Saturday. Katie Boulter advanced to round three when her opponent, Clara Tauson, retired, while British No. 1 Jack Draper fell at the first hurdle, losing his opening match to Reilly Opelka.
