Mangaluru: The moon was sighted on Thursday (March 19).

Accordingly, Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated across the coastal districts (Dakshina Kannada and Udupi) on Friday (March 20), the District Qazi said in a statement.

Following the moon sighting, Eid-ul-Fitr will be observed in Dakshina Kannada district on Friday. In this regard, Deputy Commissioner H.V. Darshan has declared a general holiday across the district.
