The wait is almost over as the highly anticipated second series of I'm A Celebrity...South Africa is fast approaching after a small hiatus.

Next month, fans of the ITV show will see some familiar faces from the reality programme head to South Africa to tackle the Bushtucker Trials and creepy crawlies once again.

However, before the series officially airs, fans will be treated to a sneak peek of what to expect.

On March 30, at 8:25pm, a special three-minute preview will be broadcast on ITV1 and STV, set to air between Emmerdale and Coronation Street.

With promises of it being the 'most thrilling' series in recent years, viewers will get a glimpse of the journey the 12 celebrities will embark on.

A synopsis reads: "The stakes are incredibly high, as celebrities compete to be crowned a Legend, challenging themselves in some of the most epic and extreme trials in I'm A Celebrity... history.

"Hosted by the award-winning Ant & Dec, this all-star version of the iconic I'm A Celebrity... format brings back a new bunch of celebrity campmates to test themselves in brand-new trials and challenges in the South African wilderness."

However, in a twist this year, the viewers will be allowed to decide who they want to crown as the ultimate Legend, as opposed to beforehand, when it was decided by head-to-head trials.

After watching the stars navigate camp life for weeks and take on daring challenges, the public will then cast their final vote in a live grand final broadcast directly from London.

Earlier this month, the line-up was confirmed as fans can expect to see Adam Thomas, Ashley Roberts, Scarlett Moffatt, David Haye, Beverley Callard, Seann Walsh and Sinitta.

Also taking part in the series will be Sir Mo Farah, Gemma Collins, Craig Charles, Jimmy Bullard and Harry Redknapp.

Ahead of the pre-recorded show airing, Harry Redknapp, who won back in 2018, spoke on This Morning earlier this month about his decision to return to the show.

He said: "I really enjoyed it, everybody in there was lovely, I was lucky they were all nice people."

I'm A Celebrity...South Africa returns this April on ITV.
