An Emmerdale actor has suggested three characters could face imprisonment in an upcoming prison twist.

Paddy Dingle actor Dominic Brunt has revealed his character believes he and two others will be sent to jail following their involvement in a murder. Viewers are aware that Paddy's father Bear Wolf accidentally killed villain Ray Walters recently, as Ray, who had exploited Bear in a modern slavery plot, attempted to kill Paddy and teenager Dylan Penders.

Following Ray's death, Dylan, Paddy and Bear attempted to conceal the crime and kept Bear's actions secret until he ultimately confessed. With Paddy fighting to keep himself and Dylan uninvolved whilst also maintaining Bear's actions were self-defence, everything unravels next week when Bear becomes anxious during another police interview.

Having already admitted to the accidental death, Bear chooses to claim he intentionally killed Ray in an attempt to protect Paddy and Dylan from being discovered. However, Dominic says Bear's latest decision triggers further twists, and the outlook appears bleak, reports The Mirror.

He shared: "Paddy thinks they're all going to prison now, and that's the end of the line. After everything they've done, he thinks they're all doomed. It's about telling the truth now after months of lying so there's got to be repercussions of that."

Dominic revealed that Paddy will be anxious about what Bear might say next, and whether he could inadvertently reveal Paddy and Dylan's connection to the killing. He said: "He's worried about that but he's more worried about what they're doing to his dad.

"He knows he was already suffering with depression and that's what led to him leaving the house. I think he's worried that the pressure of this is too much for him and h'es going to say something that he's not supposed to say, and not the rehearsed line."

With DS Walsh convinced Paddy assisted his father, the recent development involving Bear prompts both Paddy and Dylan to conclude it's time to disclose what actually occurred. Dominic explained: "Paddy's been questioned by Walsh, and he knows she's absolutely cracking. She's on it completely. If there's a way, she'll find it, she's brilliant."

However, Paddy is determined for Dylan to stay clear of it, and suggested he may take responsibility for the teenager and prevent him from admitting the truth.

He added: "He thinks about what it will do to his life if he goes to prison. What chance does he have for the rest of his life? Even getting a job. It's not the best start in life so he's beside himself about that and blames himself."

Dominic acknowledged that Paddy wouldn't manage in prison either. He stated: "I don't think he would do very well at all, I don't think he's the sort of person that would go in and become the daddy of B Wing. He can't defend himself, he's weak and he would be exploited."

He also believes Paddy wouldn't be capable of forgiving himself should Bear end up behind bars. He explained: "He's trying to makeup for lost time with Bear and he feels guilty for the whole situation, so he's trying to be a father figure for Dylan and for Bear.

"He thinks he's failing consistently and worryingly, making things worse. He means well and he's trying to do his best but the decisions he makes are terrible. Paddy would not forgive himself for a long time, he'd blame himself."
