Mumbai: The Kerala Story 2 director Kamakhya Narayan Singh took to social media after filmmaker Anurag Kashyap criticised the movie. He stated that it was ‘propaganda’ and dismissed the movie as ‘bakwaas’.
Kamakhya shared a video on X with the caption, “The issue isn’t what was shown in the film—khichdi, beef, or something else. The real question is consent and coercion. You can’t even feed someone khichdi against their will, so if a film raises the issue of forced change or pressure, calling it hate-mongering is intellectual dishonesty. Your lies are creative freedom, and our truth is propaganda! Debate should be on facts and data—not shutting down discussion by slapping on labels like “bullshit” or “bootlicker.”
Dear Anurag sir,

Further, in the video posted, the director stressed the problems faced by ‘innocent daughters’ in the country. “Anurag Kashyap Ji has said that no one would even feed someone khichdi like that. I completely agree—no one can just feed someone laddoos like that either. But unfortunately, in our society, our innocent daughters are allegedly being fed beef to force them to convert their religion; this is a crime,” said the director.
He further called the filmmaker ‘mentally weak’. “The problem is that Anurag Kashyap Ji has become mentally weak. He has an issue with everything—he has a problem with Brahmins, he has a problem with Netflix, he has a problem with the film industry. This man seems to have a problem with everything,” said the director.
Kamakhya then criticised Anurag’s film The Girl in Yellow Boots.
“He made a film called The Girl in Yellow Boots, in which he imagined an immoral relationship between a father and daughter. In a civilised society, even thinking about such things is beyond imagination. But this man has become mentally unstable, and society has also stopped taking him seriously. All his films in the past several years have been flops. I pray to the Almighty God to grant him wisdom,” he stated.
The Kerala Story 2 is all set to release on February 27th.
