Keisha looked thrilled as she was crowned the champion of The Masked Singer following her unmasking, as fans previously knew her as ‘moth’.

Speaking about the win, she said: "I have been a fan of the show for many years," she said. "I absolutely loved it. I really started to embrace Moth! I haven’t done many things by myself, so this was so necessary to bring me out of my shell."

"Maya Jama kept guessing it was me and from quite early on so I was excited to see everyone’s reaction who disagreed with her! I was smiling the entire time. There were so many amazing singers on the show… It felt amazing."

Sugababes feud and reunion

Siobhan Donaghy, Keisha Buchanan and Mutya Buena were the original members of The Sugababes when the group launched in 1998 but, following bullying allegations and their shock exits, Heidi Range, Amelle Berrabah and Jade Ewen stepped in to replace them.

Siobhan was the first to leave in 2001, claiming at the time that she had felt ‘bullied’ by Keisha, with Heidi being brought in as her replacement. Keisha has previously denied claims of bullying and the pair have since reconciled.

Mutya was next to leave in 2005, later explaining that she was suffering from postnatal depression at the time, and she was replaced by Amelle.

Shockingly, Keisha claimed she was "replaced while still being in the band” when Jade took her place in 2009, later noting that she had been affected "emotionally, mentally, financially," by the situation.

In 2011, the new iteration of the band officially split but fans were delighted when just two years later, the original three members reunited, going on to make headlines and perform at Glastonbury.

The trio apparently cleared the air and said they felt the "timing was right" to get back together, officially reclaiming their name in 2022.

Horror car crash

In 2024, Keisha revealed she had been in a terrifying car accident one year earlier after blacking out while driving.

Posting a picture from the scene, which showed a smashed telephone box and police car, she explained: "This time last year I blacked out at the wheel…

"Thank you Jesus for my life. Thankful for another year… will speak more on the cause behind the black out another time. Just happy to be here.”

King Charles snub

Back in 2018, Keisha didn’t mince her words when speaking about King Charles, sharing a picture of herself and her former bandmates Heidi and Amelle meeting him to celebrate the 30th anniversary of The Prince's Trust in 2006.

In the picture, her bandmates looked thrilled while she was giving the future king the “side-eye”.

She wrote at the time: “My shade was so real that day, obviously I was polite etc but I couldn't help but think of Diana. Mmm hmmm.”

Finding ‘happier’ career

Keisha has previously opened up on how the Sugababes prefer working now compared to their ‘gruelling’ hours back in the 90’s.

Keisha, Mutya Buena and Siobhan Donaghy apparently only had "four days off a year" and sometimes got "two and a half hours sleep” thanks to a packed schedule.

Speaking on the Smallzy's Surgery podcast, Keisha explained: "There was once I remember being - I was still living at home with my mum, and I saw my brother once that year. I didn't see him for an entire year.

"I think the difference between then and now is that we are given our diary, well, given offers, and we can say yes or no. And, you know, Siobhan has kids, so we have to work around that.

"And we work around, sort of, what we can and can't do. I definitely think it's easier for us just to create an atmosphere where we have a little bit more control, and we're happier that way."

The Masked Singer is available on catch up now via ITVX.
